Architect or designer
Most of the time your home construction project begins with stock building plans however you may need to make modifications to meet local or regional building standards or would like to make changes to fit your needs. The architect or residential designer is the person responsible for making alterations to your building plans.
Builder or general contractor
Your builder or general contractor is responsible for overseeing the construction of the project from start to finish. Your general contractor will hire, organise and oversee all subcontractors and work crews. They will also create and follow a suitable timeline, oversees site preparation, take care of ordering and delivery of materials and work with all key players at various stages of construction. They will be an important point of contact for the future homeowner.
