Moving is one of the top five most stressful life events most people will experience at some point in their lives.
Although moving into your new property at Richfield Lifestyle Estate will be considered a happy occasion, the disruption to your daily routine and the hassle of packing, changing addresses on official documents and trying to settle into your new environment can cause stress.
To combat some of the tension and help you keep your cool, we’ve compiled a two-part checklist to make sure the move to your new home is as effortless as possible.
Get rid of anything you don’t use, need or want
A new home equals a new beginning, so why not use this time to purge your home of anything you don’t want to lug along to your new place. After all, you are looking forward to enjoying your new home’s features and hiding them under meaningless clutter is not the best way to do that.
Once you’ve removed the excess clutter from your life, you can safely proceed with sorting all your belongings in each room. This is a chance for you to consider which items in your home will require special packing as well as making sure you put all your important paperwork and documents in an easy-to-locate, secure place.
Be sure to check the room dimensions at your new home to determine whether or not larger pieces of furniture will fit through the doors.
Start bulk packing
Roughly a month before your big move, you should start packing up items you use most infrequently. Be sure to label everything clearly, especially any breakables.
Now that you’ve tackled the heavy stuff, Part 2 will look at the finer details that will make your move to Richfield Lifestyle Estate easier.
